VI Peel

The Vi Peel is a gentle yet powerful medical-grade chemical peel for the treatment of acne and acne scarring, fine lines and wrinkles, age and sun spots, hyperpigmentation, melasma, rosacea, enlarged pores, oil balancing, and overall skin health.

The Vi Peel is gentle, safe and effective on all skin types and colors and can be used on the face, neck chest, arms, back, and legs, and is the only peel safe for the under-eye area. It is also painless and requires minimal downtime.

The Vi Peel contains a blend of Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA), Tretinoic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Phenol, Vitamin C, and other minerals work together to safely remove the damaged layers of the skin, promote cellular turnover, and refine the surface layer for a smoother, clearer, firmer skin that has a more youthful and radiant appearance.

BENEFITS OF THE VI PEEL:

A VI Peel takes just a few minutes to apply. Light skin tones are not required to pretreat before the VI Peel, although darker skin tones may need to precondition for two to four weeks. Initially, a light stinging sensation may be noted as the peel is applied, although this will quickly diminish. No anesthesia is required during the treatment, as the VI Peel contains a numbing agent, which ensures your comfort.

Once the VI Peel has been applied by an aesthetician, patients are free to return home. The peel will need to remain on the skin for at least four hours, at which time it can be washed off. Additional aftercare products, designed to enhance the peeling process, will be given to the patient. The aesthetician will carefully review all of the at-home instructions before a VI Peel patient leaves the office.

Initially, after patients wash the VI Peel from their face, the skin will appear red and mildly swollen. This is normal and will resolve over the first 24 hours. There is no required downtime after a VI Peel. Two to three days after the VI Peel application, the skin will begin to peel. This process can last between three and seven days, depending on the patient’s skin type and condition. Moisturizer can be used during this time to help mask the noticeable appearance of peeling.

Noticeable results can be seen after the first treatment. However, multiple treatments are recommended for optimal results. During the peeling process, the skin looks like it’s flaking after a sunburn. Good candidates for the Vi Peel are people who are fair to medium in skin color, those seeking to reverse the signs of early aging and those trying to improve mild to moderate skin damage.
